About us

Chrysalis Dyspraxia Awareness is a new non-profit organisation based in Ripon that aims to:

  • Raise awareness of this common but often misunderstood condition. This will be achieved through providing:
    • Talks to communities, schools, college, universities, medical professionals, and businesses throughout the UK.
    • The Development of interactive workshops which, hopefully will challenge your coordination give you an understanding of how it might feel to be Dyspraxic.
  • Work on a 1:1 basis with clients to understand their dyspraxia using a holistic approach that is individually designed around the client’s requirements.
  • Future plans include:
    • Developing a team to work with schools to help identify those children who may be Dyspraxic and implement techniques to help improve their physical and cognitive coordination.

Chrysalis starts with me, Carol.

I was:

Born at 26 weeks

2 weeks later I had a brain haemorrhage

My developmental milestones were delayed

I attended uni aged 46

I now have a Psychology Degree

However, it did take me longer than everyone else!
